Coronado Leather CXL Horsehide Card Wallet #16
Handmade Chromexcel leather card wallet by Coronado Leather, brought to you by Letherwerks.
Coronado Leather's sleek and slim, card wallet is completely crafted by hand. Handsewn from five pieces of Horween horsehide leather then burnished, stained and waxed. Top opening for folded currency, two front card slots and a back cut-out ID slot. Coronado Leather chose to design and build this unique collection of wallets and belts from horsehide leather because of its tight grain structure and minimal stretch. Aside from Genuine Horween Shell Cordovan, they feel this is the finest leather that could be used for these products. The hides have a distinct, natural color backing and the edges are finished 100% by hand with burnishing and antiquing them to a soft but natural appearance. They are then completely sewn by hand with waxed Irish linen thread, all in Coronado Leather's San Diego, CA leather shop. They were fortunate enough to work directly with Horween Leather to offer this fantastic leather in three colors. The horsehide leather supply is very limited today, and you will not see many of these products anywhere in the world.

The Horsehide wallets are not just another “ordinary wallet”. Coronado Leather wanted the wallets to be genuine and simple, using leather, thread, stain and waxes, and nothing more. The process is almost entirely done by hand, creating what is far from an “ordinary wallet”. They start with what they feel (and we agree) is an “ideal wallet leather”: Horween® Horsehide. The natural characteristics of this leather make it superior in so many ways; tight-grain, minimal stretch and extra-durable.
Coronado Leather uses only Horween® horsehide leathers, tanned in Chicago since 1905. The individual pieces are die-cut for precision and split to an ideal thickness. They are then saddle-stitched completely by hand with imported French thread. After hand-sewing, they are carefully beveled, sanded, stained and waxed to give them a smooth, rounded edge. Each wallet is individually marked with a unique 11-digit serial number to validate the authenticity and the time of production.
